I just wanted to rant. Who came up with the BMI chart?? I mean seriously....I think it is the stupidest chart on the planet. I just took a gander at the dumb thing...145??? Seriously?? I am pretty sure I would look like a skeleton if I weighed 145.

AND 112 pounds later and I'm still obese? My original BMI was so far off the chart....what was the classification for that??? Extreme fat ass??

Anywho...that's my rant for the day.


  1. Ha. Two guys at work weighed in for a challenge we had a work and they rang in at obese. It's hysterical though because these two guys are gym rats and truly have very little excess body fat. The problem is, the BMI charts are just an estimate and don't include muscle. I'm going for a weight that has me around 20% body fat when I get there. My scale weighs in body fat and water as well as just the overall pounds. My "tentative goal" is 5'6" and 145 lbs. But with my extra skin this may not be achievable but that's what I'm shooting for. I'll adjut as I get closer and I'm keeping an eye on my % of body fat.

  2. BMI is meaningless to me. I'll know when I'm healthy (and look damn good as well), not some stupid chart which is probably BFF with the Stupid-Ass Piece of Plastic, otherwise known as the scale !
